360° Virtual Tour - a definition
A "virtual tour" is a 360° x 180° panoramic platform simulating a location or room, usually composed from a series of images rotated 360 degrees and usually two images, one a "nadir" image (below) and one a "zenith" image (above), all taken from the same, single vantage point.
These images are then systematically stitched together using specialist software to create an interactive tour enabling the end user to click and explore the invironment in which the images were taken.
